Wild Wild Wet

As reflected by the title of the blog, i went to Wild wild Wet @ Downtown East with my boyfriend yesterday(wed)...out of no special reason other than coz we had complimentary tix heee... Although the sun was glaring strong yest, we had definately chosen a wrong date to go coz we simply forgotten its the SCHOOL HOLIDAYS!!!! i nearly fainted when im welcomed by the sight of screaming kids running everywhere when we reached ard 2plus. i tot the place opens at 1pm but since its the school hols, it open 10am daily and closed on tuesday ha...in case u wanna go.

abit of detour here, we reached at such an hr coz we went to PS b4 that to check out my dream phone. As mentioned in my previous blog on the Xmas gathering, my dream phone was nowhere to be seen on the starhub ads and i suspect it is a big conspiracy!! once they sent out those $100 and $200 mobile phone vouchers to their customers, Starhub then removed all those better models from its promotion... my dream phone nokia 6230 was advertised at $298 prior the week and now it cost $428 coz its no longer under promotion and even with my $100 discount voucher i still need to pay 328 bucks...which i tink its nt very worth it now that all the free gifts r gone too...sad.... n my present operator singtel sells 6230 @ $368 a frozen tag since dunnoe when...sad... so much for a xmas present for myself..im still stuck with my monophonic bluish-green 6510(but i still quite like it after using it for 2 yrs and 2 mths) see how things go by the end of the yr.

back to wild wild wet, after being horrified at the entrance, we tried to make our way in to find the changing rooms and i tink its quite duh to situate the KFC outlets between the female and male changing rooms, i had to walk all the way across those ppl queeuing up in my swim suit ( although the whole place is filled with pple half naked haha with bikinis and such) to reach the locker area. by the time we were ready for some wild wet time, its already 3pm i tink and the best part is when we wanted to redeem our free rental of floats the person told us that we still need to pay a refundable $ 5 deposit!! when all our stuff are in the locker le.... think there's really bad svs at the chaotic place as other pple in the Q are clearly frustrated by the way these temp workers serve customers.

So we decided to forgo the floats and went to soak at the shiok river which is juz an extended verison of wad u can find in newer neighbourhood swimming pools and also the wave pool. we started Q at the Slide Up after 330pm and waited for almost 1 hr in the Q for our turn. If u had watched the celebrity challenge variety show on channel 8 hosted by Desmond Koh a couple months ago, u will remember this huge U shaped thingy where 2 pple facing each other sat onto the float and slide down. its real sleepy waiting for ur turn that by the time when u walked up to the top, u will be too sianz to feel excited. esp when there is pair of sisters b4 us, tink both in primary sch or at most the elder one in lower sec. the younger sister din pass the ht requirement and both of them r too light for the ride , but since the older sister was so keen for the ride after Q for so long, the ah-lian looking operator (there r 2) ask for a lone rider to come up to have the ride with the little gal. Up came this er-sin and plumb looking boy tink ard 14/15 yr old with his friends(there r 3 of them so he had to ride alone, but he was simply too crude and rude) Coz the ride require the couple to sit facing each other on the float, legs wide open such that the person's legs are clammed under the other person's armpits and the 2 of them muz sit as close as possible, with the 2 ah-lians shouting at them to 'sit up'. So...it was quite an obscene and erm..suggestive posture that the boy kept shouting " so suay" blar blar...n his friends (who's behind me n my boyfriend) kept laughing n shouting...Poor gal who looked so red and paiseh, muz be so tramuatised by that horrible fat pig than the ride itself. the ah lian operator did her share of scolding n i tried to join in abit to shut the boy's mouth. although i did thought of me doing the ride with the gal, my boyfriend wld surely kill me for pairing him up with that fat kid. all i can do was to offer my sympathy for the poor little gal.. N all the fiasco had wasted alot of time lor!! Now i noe why we had to Q so long... there's no1 to ensure the ht req is met esp when there's so many kids, and the operators r all so ya-ya kinda....sigh...

when its our turn, i muz say the ride is damn scary with ratings as close as any other rollar coaster or thrill rides i had been (nt that i been to many) this is so different from other thrill rides, coz u r nt strapped to the seat or wad, u simply had to hold on to the float handle for dear life, and for a split second, i tot we r lifiting off ground and floating on air! i closed my eyes when its my turn to face the down trust from the highest pt and cld barely scream....ha But the ride cld be longer to compensate for long waiting time....this is a muz try ride if u visit wild wild wet.

after the 5 star thrill ride, we went to Q up for the 2 star family kinda sky rider which is basically a bicycle on air as in a monorail up in the sky. It doesnt look scary at all until u finally ride on it, it seems like u r ready to fall out any mmt into mid air... so thats y i gave it a 2 star rating. haha...after the simple ride, we went to Q up for 1 last ride the tunnel slide ride which is again an extended knida from the swimming pool, there was an embarrassing incident that happened to me IN the tunnel that i wun carry on with the details here hahaha....

we went to the jacuzzi pool n beat the crowds to the toilet b4 closing time and i had quite a lucky day with toilets coz i somehow beat the Q and found an empty shower. Anyway to conclude the whole wet day: Never go to wild wild wet during the school hols! if u want to spend half or more of ur stay there in Qs.....

Its really a tiring day for a person like me who hardly exercise....zzzzzz
